If you are a follower of mine on instagram, you might have seen, few days before I had shared a pic of my recent nykaa haul.. I had already reviewed the primer+matte lipstick in Rosy Sunday. and today will review the Lakme 9 to 5 weightless matte mousse lip and cheek colour in shade Crimson Silk.. I have already reviewed the shade Coffee Lite from the same range . Actually after using coffee Lite, I was in love with the range and formula and can't control my emotions and bought another two from the matte mousse lip and cheek colour range. Okk, there is nothing to be wonder as it is the real life and mind of a shopaholic and beauty blogger 😁😁.. I think most of you will agree with me..
Well, leave all that and come to today's topic.. Crimson silk and burgundy lush are the two red shades of the weightless matte mousse lip and cheek colour range, where crimson silk is the true red shade and burgundy lush is a brown toned red shade... Initially I was thinking to buy both the shades because I am a red fan when it comes to lipstick.. But then realize that brown reds are not my kind colour and stick to crimson silk... That's the story behind purchasing this beautiful shade... 😂😂

PACKAGING - The lakme 9 to 5 weightless matte mousse lip and cheek colour comes in a tube packaging like liquid lipsticks come.. The packaging is not so attractive but I like this rose gold tube.. The applicator is the best part of it.. It has a pointed wand which makes the application super easier and perfect at the inner corner and outer line. The applicator holds right /sufficient quantity of product, hence you don't need to dip again and again into the tube .. The tube comes inside a cardboard box which carries all necessary information regarding the product.
SHADE & TEXTURE - As I have mentioned above, Crimson silk is a very pretty true red shade with orange base. It is the kind of bridal red shade.. The shade helps to enhance my skin tone immediately after application... I just love the colour.. It has very sweet vanilla kind fragrance which I like too..
The shade Crimson silk has very smooth mousse texture which is so creamy and soft... It feels dream like on lips, truely weightless as its name. It smoothly spread on lips and after few minutes settles into a powdery matte finish. It doesn't settle into fine lines nor dry out my already flaky lips .. The shade is not transfer into things easily, only you can feel powdery like things which is not affecting the density of the colour on lips..
PIGMENTATION & STAYING ABILITY - The shade is super pigmented like there shade Coffee Lite I have reviewed earlier.. Only one swipe and done.. As it is super pigmented, one should have to be careful while using as blush.. Personally I don't feel comfortable on wearing red blush on cheeks but for change I can apply some day.. You can take very few quantity on finger tips and dab on cheeks and blend well and you can get the right quantity blush on face.. The shade lasts around 9-10 hours on my lips and I can't say about cheeks as I haven't applied as blush yet... I love this as a lip colour more.. The shade survives a full meal and fades very little only.. Being a darker shade it stains lips after fading and you need a makeup remover to remove completely..

1- The applicator is of great quality and design, hence easy to apply
2- Very pretty bright true red shade with orange undertone
3- Has sweet vanilla fragrance
4- Super pigmented, one swipe is enough
5- Stays for around 10hours on me
6- Very lightweight mousse texture, hence glides on lips easily and settles into a powdery matte finish
7- Doesn't settle into fine lines..
8- My already dry and flaky lips doesn't feel dry at all with the lipstick on
9- Well priced and easily available online
CONS.. -
1- Being a darker shade, it stains..
Except that can't find any major concern..
