Lakme 9 to 5 Primer Plus Matte Lipstick 'Rosy Sunday' Review, Swatches and LOTD

These days Lakme is coming with new launches very frequently.. Recently the brand has added new variants to the 9 to 5 range. They have revamped the best selling 9 to 5 matte lipsticks and have added inbuild primer to the formula to make it more wearable and long lasting... There are 30 beautiful shades,( just pinch me someone) I can't believe it... Few shades are the regular colours and few are unique... I was thinking to buy few of the shades but control myself and bought one shade 'Rosy Sunday' which is a unique and everyday kind shade I guess... Let's see my experience below..

PACKAGING - These prime plus lipsticks has very similar packaging to the previous 9 to 5 matte lipsticks. Actually I love the rose gold packaging, it makes it look so royal and classy.. The cap has click and lock technology which makes it travel-friendly. The bullet has flat top which is a kind of concern as it is not easy to apply on the inner corners and edges of lips... The lipstick again comes inside a cardboard box which has all information on it... The shade name has written at the bottom of the bullet.. As the packaging or labeling is not colour co-ordinated ,it might be difficult to choose the shade if you have quite few of these...

MY Experience -

The shade Rose Sunday is a very pretty subtle muted rosy shade with maroon undertone . This is my favorite shade from the whole range. The shade is really different from the regular pink, red, purple, brown shades and will compliment all complexions.

The texture is soft, creamy and smooth on lips... It has inbuilt primer in it, hence glides on lips effortlessly and settles into a proper matte finish... If you have very dry lips, then better to prep lips before hand to make the lipstick look good and long staying. The shade has no shimmer and no shine ,just a pure matte finish... In spite of a matte lipstick, it doesn't pull it tuck lips nor settle into finelines... It doesn't feel heavy at all.. It also doesn't dry out my already dry lips unlike some other matte lipsticks available in market.

The shade is super pigmented, opaque in just one swipe.. It stays on my lips for around 5 hours along with meal which is quite good I must say... I really love the formula and will prefer over mac lipsticks...

1- The flat top of the bullet is not perfect to apply

Overall Lakme 9 to 5 primer plus matte lipsticks are the best, unique launches till now ... I just love the concept and the formula.. There are so many shade options available, just check out now...
